Events for the Green Fields community are plentiful throughout the year and are always a delight and inspiration. Check the Community Calendar for dates.
All School Potluck. The Parents' Association kicks off each new school year with the All-School Dinner, a welcoming event hosted on campus.
College Night and College Rep Visits. Representatives from approximately 50 colleges and universities visit Green Fields each year. Students and their parents from the sophomore through senior year are invited to attend these sessions.

Grandparents and Special Persons Day. Grandparents play a special role at Green Fields and are invited by the students to spend the morning going to school on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The day starts with a coffee reception after which students take their grandparents and special friends to classes.
Booktique. Just after Thanksgiving, a week-long Book and Crafts fair is held in the Dowling Library. Books as well as items crafted by local artisans and students are available for sale. The proceeds go to the Library fund.
Fine Arts Events. The Fine Arts Department hosts several fun events throughout the year including plays, musical concerts and an Art Show.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. A student planning committee organizes events and activities to observe the life work of Martin Luther King, Jr. A special assembly is generally held the Tuesday following the official MLK holiday.

Interim. A successful part of the Green Fields curriculum since 1972, Interim is a special academic program designed to facilitate experiencial learning, multi-grade level interaction and allows students to focus on an area of interest outside of the classroom. Past projects included studies of Mexican culture, marine biology, desert ecology, veterinary medicine and archaeology. Traditionally, Interim is held the week before Spring Break.
Junior/Senior Prom. The Junior/Senior Prom is an annual tradition at Green Fields. The Junior class raises money to offset the cost of the prom. Dancing and special events are included in this evening of fun.
